Pastor Michael Carter
Michael Carter is the founder and senior pastor of Righteous Remnant Christian Church in Valdosta, Georgia. He began his ministry in 2001, serving as Youth Pastor at New Birth Church Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Frank Carter, Sr. and Co-Pastor Shirley Carter. After years of faithful service and dedication, he was ordained as an Elder in 2007.A native of Valdosta, Georgia, Michael Carter received the vision for Heart of Faith Ministries in 2010. He held the first service on January 11, 2010 at Special Occasions in Valdosta. It was then that the ministry became a registered organization at Valdosta State University. Services were held on Tuesday evenings and Sunday evenings. In June of 2013, Michael Carter envisioned for Heart of Faith to be more than just a campus ministry and registered organization at Valdosta State University. Heart of Faith then transitioned to a registered church organization in the state of Georgia. Since then, Michael Carter renamed Heart of Faith Ministries to Righteous Remnant Christian Church.
Pastor Carter is married to the lovely First Lady Kelly Carter. To this union, three children were born; Brianna Nicole Roberts, Michael Tyrone Carter, Jr., and Gabrielle Grace Carter. As the husband of one and the father of three, Michael Carter has a lot to balance but manages to make time for both his family and the sheep that he leads. He prides himself on doing as Jesus instructs in Matthew 28:18-20, “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” Michael Carter is known for his practical approach to the Bible, and encourages hundreds to pursue a personal relationship with God.
